JoAnn Nergard

JoAnn Nergard, age 82 of Paris, TN, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2025.

She was a homemaker, lived a quiet country life and was affectionately known as Mama and MeMaw.

JoAnn was born April 28, 1943, to the late Dean Jernigan and the late Mozell Faulkner Evans.

She was married on December 3, 1966, to Thomas Prince Harder and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Renee Bohon, and George (Brianna) Avery; six grandchildren, Jamie, Shane, Michael, Austin, Ashley, and Josh; and 15 great grandchildren, Jayden, Alivia, Jackson, Ryan, Nathan, Liam, Luke, Josie, Dixie, Sadie, Madison, Carlynn, Colton, Maddox, and Mason.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Danny Joey Avery and Timmy Harder

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242 is handling the arrangements. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery near McKenzie, TN officiated by her son George Avery.
