Gary Wright

John “Gary” Wright, age 75 of Hollow Rock, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, in Beaufort, SC.

Gary was born in Paris, TN, on November 6, 1949, to the late Edward Wright and the late Rozelle Parker Wright.

On May 12, 1979, he married Sheryl Braswell Wright, who survives of Hollow Rock, TN.

Gary was a family man, who was always there to support and care for his family. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and traveling.

He graduated from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to work for International Paper for 30 years.

In addition to his wife, Sheryl, Gary is survived by five children, John Gary (Heather) Wright II of Cincinnati, OH, Cynthia (Chuck) Luken of Cincinnati, OH, Sandra Cline of Scottsdale, WV, Jennifer Wright of Murfreesboro, TN, and Tracie (Jeff) Phillips of Sumter, SC; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Ann (Ed) Johnson of Savannah, TN; and a brother, David (Cindy) Wright of Louisville, KY.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, 2190 New Hope Church Ln, Hollow Rock, TN, 38342. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. James Ellington officiating.

Burial will follow at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.
