Ray Brand

Johnny “Ray” Brand, age 72 of McKenzie, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at The Waters of McKenzie.

Ray was born in Akron, OH, on April 3, 1953, to the late James Luther Brand, and the late Rosy Christine Sledge Folley.

He attended First Baptist Church-Martin and enjoyed the fellowship. He found joy in fishing, watching NASCAR, and working on cars.

Ray is survived by three children, Sherry Brand of Knoxville, TN, Lynn Jones of Amhurchee, GA, and Kalena (Robert) Rayburn of Martin, TN; life partner, Cynthia Brand of Cottage Grove, TN; and five grandchildren, Stormey, Jonny, Noah, Millie, and Abigail.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Brand and Judy Brand; and four brothers, Randall Brand, Wayne Brand, Larry Brand, and James Estel “Bubba” Brand.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Rose Lawn Memory Garden officiated by Mike Sams.
