Leah Kathleen "Kathy" Smith

Leah Kathleen “Kathy” Smith age 78 of Big Sandy, TN, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her residence.

Kathy worked many years for the Paris PI delivering newspapers and working in the office. She loved spending time with her family and collecting coins. Kathy was Baptist in faith.

Born January 14, 1946, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Leonard E, Goudey, and the late Leah Kathleen Hill Scarborough.

Survivors include her three children, Stanley David (Sissi) Allen of Big Sandy, TN, Michael D. (Tammy) Allen of Hopkinsville, KY, and Lisa A. Allen of Paris, TN; eleven grandchildren, Rheygan Mae Allen, Christopher Harris, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Harris, Hannah (Lewis III) Leavell, Kristen (Paul) Smith, Meagan (Shane) Garner, Brandon (Emily) Bryant, Ryan Pillow, Briana Marr, Taylor (Peyton) Wiginton and Anthony Gurganus; 17 great grandchildren, Jayce Harris, Dravynn Harris, Grayson Harris, Phoenix Harris, Greyson Harris, McKenzie Harris, Lewis Leavell IV, John Michael Leavell, Kaylyn Smith, Addalyn Smith, Beau Smith, Haleigh Garner, Addalyn Garner, Aspen Bryant, Noah Dotson, Lakin Warnick, and Braden Warnick.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Schiebal; a brother, Jim Goudy; and a grandchild, Kayla Rachelle Allen.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242 will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4 until 7 pm and continue on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, after 9 am until the time of the service. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday June 26, 2024, at 10 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home conducted by Bobby Campbell.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Chad Meadows, Dennis Kuhn, Joey Tormey, Josh Biggers, Paul Smith, and Lewis Leavell.

Burial will follow the service in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN.
