Linda Lancaster

Linda Jane Bailey Lancaster age 84 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, November 23, 2024, at The Farms in Puryear, TN. 

She was employed at several jobs in Paris, TN during her lifetime including The Golden Peacock, Emerson Electric, Holley Carburetor, Henry County Propane and was a dental assistant to Dr. Hoover here in Paris. She retired and cherished spending time with her husband, Gordon, traveling the country until his passing on December 29, 2021. She enjoyed camping, fishing and being surrounded by her family. She was a Christian that loved her family and friends and loved helping others. She can now rest in the arms of Christ.

Linda was born on January 17, 1940, in Dover, TN to the late Malcolm Lee Bailey and the late Eva Louise Whitford Bailey of Dover. She was married on August 15, 1957, to Gordon Wayne Lancaster also of Dover. 

Linda is survived by her two children, Lisa Lancaster (Carmen Odom) Myers and Kevin (Karen) Lancaster both of Paris; four Grandsons: Cain (Lauren) Myers of Franklin, TN, Zachary Lancaster of Paris, Peyton (Jamie) Lancaster of Silver Lake, KS and Nicholas (Madison) Lancaster of Cookeville, TN; two great-grandsons, Jonah and Simon Myers; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Jane (her namesake) and one step grandson, Jacob (Secret) Odom of Paris, TN, along with one brother, Malcolm Lee “M.L.” (Joy) Bailey, Jr. of Paris.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one brother, Wylie (Beth) Bailey; and two sisters, Leona (Curly) Spiceland, and Bobbie (Charles) Shemwell.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788 in Paris, TN. Visitation will be from 11am – noon on Friday, November 29,2024 with the funeral services beginning at noon at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Gerald Scott officiating.

All Linda’s grandsons and great-grandsons will honor their “Meme” by serving as pallbearers with her great granddaughter serving as her Honorary pallbearer.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN
