Vadean Hendrix

Lucy Vadean Hendrix, age 87 of Paris, TN, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family and beloved pets.

She dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her career as a nurse where her compassion, strength and dedication touched the lives of countless patients. She later continued her calling as a nurse anesthetist, a profession in which she took great pride. She was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church in Buchanan, TN. After retiring, she took great joy in spending time with her family and pets, taking care of her flowers and shopping.

Vadean was born in Fairfield, IL, on April 29, 1939, to the late Luther Aaron Laws, and the late Elsie Vadean Laws.

She married Jimmie Lee Hendrix on August 26, 1989. Jimmy preceded her in death on October 20, 2023.

Vadean is survived by her beloved brother, Luther (Martha Sue) Laws; sister, Ruby Royce; special family that was known to all as her children, Chris and Melissa Fletcher; grandson, Hunter (Mae) Fletcher; special friends and caregivers, Donna Boyd, Donna Griffin, Kelly Kissick, Monique Gray, and Amy Grippen; and her two dogs, Luci and Bobby Sue.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Cynthia Laws and Joe Laws.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. The funeral service will be held at Rose Lawn Mausoleum on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Chad Kennedy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Fletcher, Hunter Fletcher, Drex Boyd, and Terry Ward.
