Mae Harris

Mae Harris age 83 of Centerville,OH, formerly of Paris, Tn,  Loving and devoted wife of 65 years to William J "Bill" Harris and Wonderful, caring mother to Larry and Daryl Harris died Sunday May 12, 2013 at Southview Hospital in Dayton, OH.

Mae was born December 13, 1929, in Paris, TN to Alvin and Ruth Williams Shankle who preceded in death.

She married William J. "Bill" Harris May 10, 1948 and he survives.  She was a member of Springboro Baptist Church in Springboro, OH and was always known for her humility and her tender heart.

Mrs. Harris is also survived by: sons, Daryl Harris of Centerville, OH and Larry (Jan) Harris of Centerville, OH; Brother, Earl Shankle of Paris, TN; Grandchildren, Joel Evan (Sarah Ann) Harris of Winnetka, IL and Ashley Rebecca (Hunter) Chastain of Rogers, AR and Great Grandchildren, Lane Marie Harris, Burke Hopkins Harris and Harper Harris Chastain and Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Garneeta Bushart and brother Gene Shankle.

Visitation will be Friday May 17, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242.

The Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday May 18, 2013 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Jimmy Allison will officiate.  Burial will follow in New Beaverdam Cemetery near Buchanan, TN.
