Margaret Cherry

Margaret Elois Hunter Cherry, age 82 of Paris, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her residence.

Margaret was born in Como, TN, on March 26, 1944, to the late Rozell Hunter, and the late Dorotha Call Hunter.

She married Jerry Dale Cherry on November 24, 1966. Jerry preceded her in death on May 30, 2004.

Margaret was a graduate of E.W. Grove School. She enjoyed vacationing, camping, attending family gatherings, and shopping. She treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by one son, David (Jean) Hunter of Paris, TN; one sister, Patricia Walker of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Sasha (Jay) Wallace, and Hope (Derrick) Starnes; seven great-grandchildren, Trystan Bradley, Ian Bradley, Jeramiah Baker, Brennon Bradley, Jordyn Baker, Trinity Baker, and Joseph Baker; three great-great grandchildren, Maylee Adams, Braxton Baker, and Waylon Benzie; one sister-in-law, Elise Hunter of Nashville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Hosford; one brother, Dwayne Hunter; and one brother-in-law, Robert Walker.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Her remains are to be cremated with a memorial graveside service to be held at Sulphur Well Cemetery on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Randy Stephens.
