Paulette Kuenzle

Martha Paulette Kuenzle, age 82 of McKenzie, TN, formerly of Gleason, TN, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, at Cherrywood Post Acute in McKenzie, after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease.

Paulette was a quiet soul who found peace and joy in life's simple moments; especially long walks outdoors with her dog Dixie where she felt most at ease. She was kindhearted and playful and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Though shy by nature, Paulette had a quiet strength and presence that spoke volumes to those close to her. She preferred the calm of nature to crowds and often could be found enjoying her backyard friends, birds, rabbits, and deer.

Born April 30, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, MO, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Kesterson and the late Ruth Durbin Kesterson.

She was married September 19, 1964, to Donald Kuenzle, who preceded her in death March 22, 2025.

Survivors include her son, David (Janet) Kuenzle of Big Sandy, TN; her daughter, Sharon (David) Greer of Oakland, TN; sisters, Jean Poley, and Dee Kesterson-Booker; brothers, Lawrence "Bub" Kesterson, and Ron Kesterson; grandchildren, Steven, Dan and Stacey Lundquist, Amanda Phifer and Amy Marsh; great grandchildren, Caden Lundquist, Fynn Lundquist, Luna and Ellie Lundquist and Emma Phifer , who will forever cherish memories of her playful gentle ways.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Zara Lundquist; and sister, Ruth-Ann Stickel.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap ST./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Her body is to be cremated with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
