Mary Lou Diviney

Mary Lou Diviney, age 72 of Dresden, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Hillview Community Living Center in Dresden, TN.

She was born on March 1, 1953.

Mary Lou was a Christian that loved the Lord. She formerly worked at H.I.S. in Dresden. She enjoyed doing crafts, spending time with animals, and playing with children.

She is survived by her adopted family; step-father, Billy Turner of Martin, TN; two sisters, Betty Gilliland of Martin, TN, and Dorothy Manuel of Louisiana; two nieces, Betty Jean Dunn, and Kathy (Matt) Rooks; three nephews, Thomas W. (LaRitha) Gilliland, Timothy Gilliland, and Wilfred (Melissa) Manuel; 14 great nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Diviney; her adopted step- mother, Emma Jean Turner; and adopted brother-in-law, Thomas E. Gilliland.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Meridian Cemetery in Greenfield, TN, with Thomas W. Gilliland, Logan Gilliland, Charles Taylor, James T. Dunn, Billy Turner, and James Jennings serving as pallbearers.
