McCoy Jackson Elkins died Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, TN.

McCoy was born June 25, 2024, at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville.

He was the infant son of Lauren Elkins of Buchanan.

McCoy loved watching sports on TV, wrestling with his blue dinosaur toy, and spending time with his family.

Along with his mother, additional survivors include his brother Caden Elkins of Nashville, his grandparents, Gary and Debbie Elkins of Buchanan; aunts, Mary Alice Harper of Buchanan, and Andrea (Daniel) Gooch of Paris; an uncle, Brett Elkins of Paris; and cousins, Ariel (Jordan Dumas) Harper, Dylan (Nikki) Harper, Ayla “Finn” Gooch, and J.T. Gooch. 

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm with a service to follow at 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Randy Stephens officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.
