Melissa Dawn Jones

Melissa Dawn Jones, age 60 of Huntingdon, TN, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at her residence.

She was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church. Melissa was known for her simple, sweet nature and always enjoyed a Dr. Pepper or a Frappe. She expressed her love through cooking for those around her. She enjoyed her cats, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her

She was born May 21, 1965, in Paris, TN, to the late Paul Lee Gaskins and the late Shirley Ann Lee Gaskins.

Melissa married David Jones on June 19, 1981, and he survives, of Huntingdon, TN. She is also survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Jones & her partner Jonathan Orr of Huntingdon, TN, and Brittany (Deven) Bryan of McKenzie, TN; one son, Eric Jones (fiancée Amy Mills) of Huntingdon, TN; two sisters, Linda Thompson of Kenton, TN, and Annie (Ronnie) McFarland of Nashville, TN; one brother, Eddie (Sheryl) Gaskins of Paris; seven grandchildren, Hayli McSwain, Hunter Bryant, Connor Bryant, Ali Jones, Lacey Jones, Katie Scott Jones, and Summer Jones; two nieces and their families; and two nephews and their families.

Along with her parents, Melissa was also preceded in death by a sister, Sherron Jones.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN. Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 11 am - 2 pm with her funeral service Sunday at 2:00 pm with Joel Turner officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.

Deven Bryan, Connor Bryant, Mickey Pullen, Justin Jones, Butch Jeffery, and Jerry Paul “Cowboy” Melton will serve as pallbearers.
