Mildred Geraldene Morgan

Geraldene Morgan, age 94 of Henry, TN, died Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was a homemaker and a member of Henry Church of Christ that she loved very much.  She formerly worked at Piney Campground with her husband.  Geraldene’s greatest love was taking care of her husband and grandsons, Eric and Ryan.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking, and made the best coconut cake.  She also loved ceramics, having owned Morgan’s Ceramics.  

Geraldene was born November 29, 1929, in Bruceton, TN, to the late Lester Presson and the late Ethel Presson Call.

She was married August 31, 1949, to Jimmie Morgan, who preceded her in death on July 17, 2006.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Roger) Burke of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Eric (Caitlyn) Burke of Papillion, NE, and Ryan (Roxanne) Burke of Henry, TN; and five great grandchildren, Jaylyn Burke, Jameson Burke, Jaycie Burke, Lylah Burke, and Eli Burke.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Robinson and Dillard Presson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Henry Church of Christ, 60 W Main Street, Henry, TN 38231.  The funeral service will be Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Henry Church of Christ, with Roger Graham officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kelly Burke, Jerry Burke, Jeremy Presson, Billy Alexander, Paul Alexander, Ryan Burke, Jameson Burke.

Burial will be in Henry Cemetery in Henry, TN.
