Mildred Wilson

Mildred Jeanette Wilson, age 92 of Hollow Rock, TN, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at her residence.

She was a homemaker, she enjoyed reading cooking, and sewing. Mildred loved her flowers, and keeping her great grandchildren. She was a member of Paris Community of Christ in Paris.

Mildred was born June 19, 1929, in Whigham, GA, to the late Jesse Patrick Ponder and to the late Bessie Lorene King Ponder.

She married on November 3, 1945, to Wilburn Benson Wilson Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mildred is survived by her three sons, Wilburn Benson (Charlene) Wilson Jr., of Cookeville, TN, Jesse Dale (Ann) Wilson of Hollow Rock, TN, and Patrick Benson (Rhonda) Wilson of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Jeffery (Ashley) Wilson, Jonathan (Tanya) Arnold, Sabrina (Vander) Tipton, and Drew Early; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Monteen Barwick and Annie Narrmore; and four bothers, Carl Ponder, Joe Ponder, Clynwood Ponder, and Lynwood Ponder.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. Her visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Saturday, March 26, 2022, after 9:00 a.m. until her service. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dale Gallimore officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Wilson, Eli Wilson, Vander Tipton, Patrick Wilson, Joey Davis, and Dennis McClure. Her great granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
