Mitzie Milam Wade

Mitzie Milam Wade, age 60 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

She was a homemaker and member of Blood River Church of Christ in Buchanan, TN.  She enjoyed everything about horses, especially going to horse sales.  Mitzie loved being a part of the Milam Family Rodeo Company, enjoyed camping, and loved going to the movies.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mitzie was born November 7, 1961, in Murray, KY, to the late Horace E. Milam and Onetta Dodson Milam, who survives, of Buchanan, TN.

Along with her mother, she is also survived by her son, Zach Wade and his wife Amy David Wade of Springville, TN; her partner, Vernon Decker of Paris; one sister, Penny (Duard) Parsons of Buchanan, TN; one brother, Bryant (Samantha) Milam of Buchanan, TN; five grandchildren, Zoe Wade, Jake Pardue, Luke Pardue, Brantley Decker, and Kyler Decker; two nieces, Kayla (Jeff) Berryhill, and Gracie (Bradley) Bomar; two nephews, Brett (Paige) Milam, and Bryson Milam; and five great nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Blood River Church of Christ, 1525 Blood River Church Road, Buchanan, TN 38222.  The funeral service will be Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:00 am at Blood River Church of Christ, with John Dale officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Milam, Bobby Milam, Ricky Weatherford, Mickey Thurmond, Roy Vassel, and Joe Pat Milam.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Kevin Weatherford, Terry Milam, David Milam, Chris Bryant, and Randall Crass.

Burial will be in the Milam Family Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
