Muriel "Bunny" Selby

Muriel Howell “Bunny” Selby, age 94 of Paris, TN passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Paris.

Bunny retired from the Monongalia County School System in Morgantown, West Virginia as a schoolteacher for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris. She loved being Grandma Bunny.

She was born October 13, 1931, in Morgantown, WV to the late Clyde Howell and the late Clara Pringle Howell.

Bunny was married on August 4, 1957, to John Wyatt Selby, Sr. who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, John W. Selby, Jr. of Paris, TN; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Claire Selby, and John W. Selby, III.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Dr. Debra Sue “Debi” Selby on April 14, 2026.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 10:00 am at Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN with Rev. Hailey Robinson of First United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.
