Nancy Roosa

Nancy L. Roosa, age 81 of Paris, TN, died Friday, November 6, 2020, at her residence in Paris.

She formerly worked at Beasley Accounting in Paris for 10 years.  She also was a school bus driver for the Henry County School System, where her kids called her “Miss Nancy.”  Nancy was a member of St. Matthew by the Lake Lutheran Church in Benton, KY, where she was a member of the handbell choir.  She enjoyed fishing and loved her two cats and two dogs.

Nancy was born June 14, 1939, in Racine, WI, to the late George Halverson and the late Louise Eifler Halverson.

She was married September 15, 1974, to Brian Floyd Roosa, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Kathy (Don) Taylor of Sevierville, TN; one sister-in-law, Jean (Richard) Olsen of Paris; one grandchild, Halyse (Nathan) Geisel; two great grandchildren, Simon Geisel and Liam Geisel; and special friends, Marlen (Bill) Williams.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10, 2020, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Colleen Winkler officiating. Per the family’s request, face masks are required at the service and social distancing will be observed.

Cremation will follow the service.  An inurnment service will be at St. Matthew by the Lake Lutheran Church in Benton, KY at a later date.
