Norman Dyer Hale, Jr.

Norman Dyer “Skip” Hale, Jr., age 75 of Buchanan, TN, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

He retired in 2015 from the Henry County Sheriff’s Department as the kitchen manager.  Skip was a “jack-of-all-trades” and could do almost anything.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a commercial fisherman.

Skip was born September 2, 1945, in Murray, KY, to the late Norman Dyer Hale, Sr., and the late Betty Elizabeth Overbey Hale.

He was married January 17, 1977, to Tina Baird Hale, who survives, of Buchanan, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by five children, Norman “Skip” (Melinda) Hale, III of Louisville, KY, Brian (Krystal) Hale of Cape Coral, FL, Anthony Dyer Hale of Owensboro, KY, Mikki (James) Hutchens of Murray, KY, and Kelly Miller of Owensboro, KY; two brothers, Kent (Diana) Hale of Murray, KY, and John Mark (Kaye) Hale of Cabool, MO; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handle by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242. The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
