Odell Neal, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Benchmark Healthcare of Puryear.
Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Bobby Campbell will officiate.
Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery.
Chosen as pallbearers are Jack King, Clay Boyd, Randy Mobley, Jesse O’Daniel, Ronnie Mitchell and Matt Goetz.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the men’s Sunday school class at Central Point Baptist Church.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday and after noon Tuesday.
Neal was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Searcy, Ark., to the late Archie and Edna Bolton Neal.
He was married in 1957 to his first wife, Betty J. Mitchell, who preceded him in death in 1996.
He is also preceded in death by his second wife, Nelliene Greenup Neal.
He was a member of Central Point Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher. He retired from Plumley Rubber in Paris.
Neal is survived by two daughters: Barbara Boyd and Nancy Nelson, both of Paris; a sister: Eva Lindley of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren: Jesse, Bridget and Nicki O’Daniel and Clay (Kristin) Boyd; and eight great-grandchildren: Aaron and Nolyn O’Daniel, Kayleigh and Cason Boyd, Stephanie Rouse, Jazmine and Tyler Truax and Matthew Veley.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Cheryl K. Neal in 2003; two sisters: Opal Martin and Lavaughn Gibson; and two brothers: Oliver and Earl Neal.
