Pamela Diggs “Pam” Hamilton, age 77 of Buchanan, TN, died Monday, May 24, 2021, at her residence.
Pam was an artist who loved hand painting Christmas balls. She was an active member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ where she was also a member of the Sewing Ladies, and Prime timers. She adored her grandchildren, was an avid reader, and loved taking care of her dogs and every creature that appeared at the house.
She was born July 20, 1943, in Paris, TN, to the late George Diggs and the late Dorothy Mizzell Diggs.
She married on January 13, 1962, to James D. “Jim” Hamilton, who preceded her in death on May 19, 2016.
Pam is survived by one daughter, Tina (Walter) Proctor of Murray, KY; two sons, Bill Hamilton and special friend Anita Woods of Paris, TN, and Matt (Andrea) Hamilton of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Phyllis (Thomas) Lemonds of Paris, TN, and Rita (Bobby Flowers) Crowe of Paris, TN; one brother, Ernie (Janis) Diggs of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Logan Proctor, Payton Proctor, Nikki (Cody) Sanders, Alex Hamilton and Fiance Stevee Pierce, JD Hamilton, and Nell-Lea Hamilton; and eight great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Sulphur Well Church of Christ. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 11:00 am at Sulphur Well Church of Christ, with Randy Stephens and Bob Palmer officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Lemonds, Cody Sanders, Tommy Scarbrough, Dick Breedlove, Terry Wimberley, and Jason Wimberley. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Wimberley, and Larry Wimberley.
Burial will follow in Sulphur Well Church of Christ Cemetery in Springville, TN.
