Paul Robert York

Paul Robert York, age 81 of Puryear, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Paul was born on August 24, 1944, in Bicknell, IN, to the late Carl York and the late Hester York.

He married Frances Earline Picheloupe York on November 21, 1992. Frances preceded him in death.

Paul was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Paris. He served in the U.S. Navy and later retired after many years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, spending time outdoors, caring for his plants, and watching movies. He especially loved time with his dogs.

Paul is survived by one stepson, Walter Beard of Dallas, GA; one sister, Marilyn Shawhan of Vincennes, IN; and one brother, John (Sandy) York of Rosedale, IN.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. His remains are to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at First Presbyterian Church at a later date.
