Pauline "Polly" Cook

Pauline Elaine “Polly” Cook, age 78 of Springville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at her residence.

Polly was born in Springfield, VT, on November 1, 1947, to the late Alfred Albert Shatney, and the late Christine Roys Shatney.

She married Stanley Cook, in Waldon, NY, on April 20, 1968. Stanley survives of Springville, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Bill Cook of Weedsport, NY, and Al (Ann) Cook of Monroe, CT; one sister, Cindy Hansen of Pine Bush, NY; one brother, Jack Thompson of Walk Hill, NY; and two grandchildren, Maddy Cook and Catie Cook.

Polly enjoyed crocheting and quilting, birdwatching, and spending time with her family.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN, will be handling the arrangements. Her body is to be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
