Phillip Snow

February 11, 1944 — April 13, 2020

John Phillip Snow, age 76 of Paris, died Monday, April 13, 2020, at his residence.

Phillip was a retired brick mason, who bricked several homes and buildings in Tennessee, Ohio, and other surrounding areas. He enjoyed being outside doing yard work, gardening, piddling in his workshop, and shooting pool. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran who was awarded 3 purple hearts. Phillip was proud to be called a father, grandfather, and friend.

Born February 11, 1944, in Paris, he was the son of the late Johnny Snow and the late Ruby D. Wiseman Snow.

He married Sandra Kay Snow on October 15, 2015, who preceded him in death June 25, 2019.

Survivors include his children, Andra (Mike) Donnawell of Puryear, Lisa (Chris) Purdy of Buchanan, Linda (Dave) Maisonneuve of Woodberry, TN, Sherry K. Wallace of South Carolina, Trish Smoot of South Carolina, Kim (Keith) Horton of Murray, Jim (Brandy) Simpson of Jackson, Terry (Theresa) Little of South Carolina, and Gary (Jessica) Byars of Murray; a sister, Fay Boyd of Paris; 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Lou Rodgers and Betty Jean Snow, and four brothers, Carlton D. Snow, James T. Snow, Roger Snow, and Richard Snow.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  A private family graveside will be held with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in the New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Due to the “stay at home” order in place, the graveside service will be aired Thursday, April 16, 2020, via YouTube Live https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX8Kr_Fs9P1fFqfufdp1Uow  at 1 pm.  The service will be available for viewing until Saturday, April 18, 2020.

A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
