Richard Irving Robb

Richard Irving Robb, age 91 of Paris, TN, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare- Henry County Hospital.

He was born on January 5, 1935, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was the son of the late James A. Robb, Jr. and Betty Kate Robb.

Richard was a true Renaissance man whose life's work was devoted to Theosophy and the Theosophical Society. He owned and operated Wizards Bookshelf, a publishing company dedicated to reprinting rare and historically significant books that helped deepen the understanding of The Secret Doctrine, the foundational text of Theosophy.

He was a highly skilled auto mechanic, engineer, sailor, and artist, and was deeply respected by those who truly knew him.

Richard is survived by three siblings, Toni Breckenridge of Alamo, CA, David (Linda) Robb of Paris, TN, and Peter Robb of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Cindy Robb; and one brother-in-law, Charles Breckenridge.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. His remains are to be cremated with no public services scheduled at this time.
