Rita Carolyn Walton

Rita Carolyn Walton, age 74 of Henry, TN, died Sunday, October 29, 2023, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

She was a homemaker and a member of Henry Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading, playing games on the computer, and going to church.

Carolyn was born December 6, 1948, in Andalusia, AL, to the late Lawson Agnew Josey and the late Ethel Faye Alley Josey.  

She was married November 21, 1981, to Billy Joe Walton, who preceded her in death on October 19, 2012.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra (Frank) Frederick of Henry, TN; her son, Drew Walton of Paris, TN; one brother, Ronald Josey of FL; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Sue Heiznie; and one brother, Donald Josey.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Henry Baptist Church, 20 E College St, Henry, TN 38231, with John Sutton officiating.
