Robert Henry “Bob” Dufresne, Sr., resident of Puryear, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his residence.
Born on June 2, 1945, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, Bob was the son of Thomas W. Dufresne, Sr., and Lena Cadieux Dufresne. Both his parents preceded him in death. Growing up in Lake Worth, Florida, Bob shared his childhood with his siblings, Thomas W. Dufresne, Jr., and Lora Lee Strength, who also passed away before him.
Bob’s life took a romantic turn when he met and fell in love with his wife, Judia Elizabeth Davis Dufresne. Together, they built a life filled with love and happiness. Sadly, Judia passed away in 1989, leaving Bob to carry on without her.
Throughout his life, Bob worked as a Produce Manager for Winn Dixie in South Florida. After retiring, he relocated to Puryear, where he spent the rest of his days.
Bob served as a U.S. Navy Veteran and was an avid saltwater fisherman. The quote “There’s no such thing as a bad day when you’re fishing” states it all.
Bob is survived by his children, Tracy Elizabeth Dufresne-Lockey and her husband, David, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; Robert Henry Dufresne, Jr., of West Palm Beach, Florida; and Timothy James Dufresne, Sr., and his wife, Kristina, of Puryear, Tennessee. He was also blessed with four grandchildren: Kierstyn Lockey, Maegan Lockey, Wynter Dufresne, and Timothy Dufresne, Jr.
Now at peace, Bob has joined his beloved Judia in a place of eternal rest. As his children bid him farewell, they can’t help but remember the good times and exclaim, “Fish on, Dad!”
