Robert Lynn Rushing

Robert L. Rushing, age 57 of Puryear, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at his residence.

He was born in Trenton, TN, on July 9, 1969 to the late Homer Rushing and the late Opal Rushing.

Robert had a big heart, He enjoyed taking walks, listening to country music, and spending time with his family. He also cherished his second family at the Puryear Group Home and his church family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paris, TN.

He is survived by one cousin, whom he shared a close bond, Nancy Plass of Evansville, Indiana; several other cousins; his Puryear Group Home family and his church family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paris.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. His remains are to be cremated with a memorial service to be held Friday, July 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1921 Lone Oak Rd, Paris, TN 38242, with Michael Day officiating.
