Robert William “Bob” Zorn, age 97 of Paris, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his residence.
Bob was born on April 17, 1928, in Chatsworth, IL, to the late William Robert Zorn and the late Edith Wells Zorn.
On October 22, 1953, he married Hattie Idella Bishop Zorn, who survives of Paris, TN.
Bob was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea. A devoted member of Temple Baptist Church, he lived a life of service, community, and craftsmanship.
He began his barbering career in 1953 and went on to own and operate Bob’s Barber Shop in Piper City, Illinois, from 1956 until 1995—where he became well-known for giving the best “flat tops” in town.
Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason and an active member of the Piper City Lions Club, where he also served as the archivist for the Lions Club National Stamp Club as well as the Errors, Freaks, and Oddities Stamp Club. Deeply involved in his community, he served as both a precinct committeeman and a city councilman for Piper City. He was also a dedicated member of the Piper City American Legion Post #0588.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing and cheering for his favorite football team, the Tennessee Titans.
Along with his wife, Bob is survived by one son, Ron W. Zorn of Louisville, KY; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Zorn of Puryear, TN; one sister, Mary Ann Barnhart of Chatsworth, IL; five grandchildren, James (Felicia) Zorn, Erin Zorn, Steven Zorn, Bryan (Sara) Zorn, Megan (Josh) Buckman; six great-grandchildren, Lucky Zorn, Colin Zorn, Roman Zorn, Kennedy Buckman, Paisley Buckman, and Boston Buckman; and one great-great grandchild, Eritreya Zorn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John L. Zorn; a sister, Helen Casey; and a brother, Jim Zorn.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 619 N Wilson Street, Paris, TN, 38242. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church with Craig Peevyhouse and Gerald Scott officiating.
