Ronnie Green

Ronnie Dale Green, age 74 of Buchanan, TN, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at his residence.

He was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  He formerly worked for Martin Mechanical Inc. in Buchanan and was the retired owner and operator of Green’s Plumbing and Electric.   Ronnie served in the US Army National Guard for 29 years retiring as Company First Sgt.  He loved Dodgers baseball and enjoyed working on the family farm.

Born December 25, 1946, in Buchanan, he was the son of the late Pleas Henry Green and the late Virginia Irene Brown Green.

Ronnie was married to Brenda Parrish Green on May 16, 1971, and she survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stacy (Chris) Daniels and Ashley (Jamie) James both of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Parker James, Macie James, Reed James, Cavan Daniels, Kian Daniels, and Airlie Daniels.

Besides his parents, Ronnie was also preceded in death by one son, Eric Brian Green; two brothers, Melvin Green and another brother who died in infancy.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.   Visitation will be at Point Pleasant Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10 am – 2 pm with the funeral service at the church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Robert McBroom officiating.  Burial will follow in Bevil Cemetery in Paris.

Pallbearers will be Tommy McDonald, Cavan Daniels, Parker James, Steve Hudson, Zachary Martin and Dickie Routon.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Duncan, Nellie Szabo, Phillip Williams, Dwayne Craig, Steve Winters, and the Buchanan Class of 1964.
