Ronnie Scott

Ronnie Scott, age 74 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, March 12, 2022, at his residence with his family and dog, Snooks, by his side.

Ronnie was born September 3, 1947, in Paris, TN, to the late Wayne Thomas Scott and the late Addie Mae Jackson Scott.

He was married to Paula Meketi Scott, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his two sons, Chris (Donna) Scott, and Brad Scott; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with Paula’s children, Kate (Ken) Rhodes, Amy (Gary) Mitchell, and John Paul (Ashley) Childers.  He is also survived by 6 brothers and sisters, Jackie (Brenda) Scott, Gerald (Jenna) Scott, Randy (Jonie) Scott, Sandra (Larry) Tipton, Mike (Brenda) Scott, and Jenniffer (Chris) Townsend; and one brother in law, Jimmy Stanton.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved sister, Janice Stanton.

Ronnie was a fun-loving person who lived life on his own terms. He was affectionately known to his friends as Scooter.  He loved golf, boating, The Breakers Marina, Kentucky Lake, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a successful entrepreneur who founded E & W Electric Co., Inc. In his “retirement” he developed the lake property which is now Little Eagle RV Park.  He loved the challenge of a new business and was very successful in his endeavors.

Ronnie will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to call him family or friend. His humor, quick wit, love of life, and generous nature made him a hard person to forget, and leaves a space in our hearts that will never be the same without him.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 18, 2022, at 4:00 pm at Temple Baptist Church, 619 N Wilson Street, Paris, TN 38242.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist CLC fund, the Animal Shelter, or your favorite charity.
