Ruie Edward Winchester, Jr. age 78 of Springville, TN, passed away on Thursday September 4, 2025, at his residence in Springville, TN.

Ruie was born in Dyersburg, TN, on July 24, 1947, to the late Ruie Edward Winchester, Sr. and the late Iris Christine Winchester.

He was a retired truck driver and a Mason. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and loved fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Sue Melton Winchester of Springville, TN; four children, Jason (Tamera) Winchester of Brownsville, TN; Geoffrey (Jennifer) Winchester of Halls, TN; Karen Michelle Winchester of Newbern, TN; and Stephen Winchester of Dyersburg, TN; three step-children, Russell (Nancy) Chism of Halls, TN; Kenneth Chism of Dyersburg, TN; and Wendy (Bill) Thompson of Martin, TN; two sisters, Iris Faye and Connie; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Winchester; one sister, Darlene, and one brother Ronnie.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. He will be cremated with a private service to be held at a later date.
