Samantha Jean Barrett

Samantha Jean Barrett, age 43, of McKenzie, TN, formerly of Paris, died Friday, August 22, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare of Henry County.

Samantha attended Springhill Baptist Church where she enjoyed the music. She loved watching Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story. Woody was her favorite character. Samantha loved aggravating and picking on her nurse and caregivers.

She was born on July 1, 1982, in Paris, TN, to Gary “Punkin” Barrett, of Paris and the late Damona Conger Barrett who died April 14, 2010.

Along with her father she is survived by her brother, David (Leigh Anne) Barrett of Puryear, TN; aunts and uncles, Bobby & Suzanne Barrett, Sam & Lela Conger, John & Donna Conger, Danny & Agnes Conger, Wanda Burke, and Frances Conger; a niece, Alayna Barrett; and a nephew, Garrison Barrett.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, Buck & Geneva Conger, and Charles & Estelle Barrett.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 3:00 until 6:00 pm, and continue Monday, August 25, 2025, after 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with the funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with John Pope and Mike Wimberley officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Barrett, Andrew Barrett, Garrison Barrett, David Barrett, Anthony Clayton, and Drew Dodd.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris.
