Sandra Knight

Sandra Lynne Knight, age 66 of Paris, Tennessee, passed away at Mount Carmel Hospital in Grove City, Ohio on April 26th, 2027.

She was born in Paris, Tennessee on May 3, 1959, to the late Virginia and Russell Shafer.

Sandra graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1977. She worked multiple roles within the work force that included providing transportation for train conductors, working as a dispatcher for medical emergencies, and worked as a unit clerk at Doctor’s West hospital.

Sandra, also known as ‘Sandy’ was known for her love and care for people. Sandra placed her faith in Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age, and talked about her faith often. Sandy’s warm, calm and loving nature could lift a person’s spirit as soon as they entered the room. She was the proud mom to Travis, 48; Heather, 44; and Tyler, 33. Sandy also had a love for cats and dogs, and took care of many animals of the years. She loved anything seafood, and enjoyed going out to eat and watching movies.

She was survived by her son Travis Knight, daughter, Heather and youngest son, Tyler Knight. She was also survived by her brother, Danny Shafer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Knight, parents Virginia and Russell Shafer, and brothers Gary Shafer and Larry Shafer.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery.
