Shirley Ann Cole

Shirley Ann Cole age 71 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at her residence.

Shirley worked many years as a seamstress at Fort Bragg Military Base in North Carolina. In her later years, she was a sitter and caregiver. She loved growing flowers and potted plants. Spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, gave her immense joy. Shirley was Baptist in faith.

Born August 14, 1953, in Paris, TN, she was the daughter of the late James William Ball and the late Mattie Pearl Miller Ball.

Survivors include her two daughters, Tina Pooler of Paris, TN, and Billie (Danny) Goode of Springville, TN; a sister, Vernie Barnhill of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Jacob (Kara) Pooler, Preston Pooler, Gabriel Greene, Rebecca Goode, Ella Rose Goode, and Danielle Goode, two great grandchildren, Navaeh Goode and Felicity Cowan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Chamness, Margaret Owen, and Elizabeth Strickland.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, with her funeral service to be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Brandon Chamness officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Goode, Jason Pooler, Jacob Pooler, Preston Pooler, Gabriel Greene, and Tommy Strickland. Adam Evans will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Burial will follow the service in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
