Thelma Pearl Foust

Thelma Pearl Runyon Ragsdale Foust, age 81 of Paris, TN, formerly of Big Sandy, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Henry County Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on May 2, 1944, in Orgas, West Virginia, to the late Whirlie S. Runyon, and the late Alma Pearl Ferrell Runyon.

Thelma first married John W. Ragsdale who preceded her in death. She then married George H. Foust, June 2, 2004. Who also preceded her in death on August 1, 2016.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church- Big Sandy. Thelma enjoyed fishing, hunting, crocheting, and knitting.

Thelma is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ragsdale (Kevin Matthews) Mitchell of Stockbridge, GA; her granddaughter, Megan Mitchell of California; a sister, Gloria Sue Runyon Hamilton of Sylvester, WV; brothers, Archie C. Runyon of Hinton, WV, and Ronald Runyon of Sylvester, WV; and special friends, Judy and John Wade.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Clarkson; and brother, Raymond Runyon.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 95 Futrell Rd, Huntingdon, TN, 38344.
