Thelma R. Hollingsworth

Thelma R. Hollingsworth, age 84 of Mansfield, TN, died Friday, July 21, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was a member at Henry County Tabernacle where she had attended for over 70 years.  She formerly worked at Holley Carburetor Plant and was the owner and operator with her husband of Hollingsworth Sawmill, and Midway Truck Stop.  Thelma enjoyed keeping house, gardening, church, playing with her grandkids, and shopping with her sisters. 

Thelma was born October 3, 1938, in Henry County to the late Earl Patterson and the late Ada Francisco Patterson.

She was married to Alton Hollingsworth on February 2, 1963, and he survives of Mansfield, TN.

Along with her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Pat Hollingsworth of Paris, TN; one son, Tommy Hollingsworth of Mansfield, TN; five sisters, Marie (Allen) Briggs of Paris, TN, Martha Wallace of Camden, TN, Judy Patterson of Springville, TN, Christine Turner of Springville, TN, and Earline Maddox of Olive Branch, MS; four brothers, Jimmy (Martha) Patterson of Paris, TN, Dalton (Linda) Patterson of Henry, TN, Fred (Norma) Patterson of Camden, TN, and David Patterson of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Hollingsworth and Reagan Hollingsworth; one great grandchild, Makray Brown; two special nieces, Maddie McDaniel, and Caitlynn Pruitt; and many nieces and nephews.  

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Patterson; and two grandchildren, Chris Archie, and Heather Hollingsworth.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 4 – 7 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Monday, July 24, 2023, from 10 am – 2 pm at Henry County Tabernacle.  The funeral service will be Monday, July 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Henry County Tabernacle with Tommy Rushing officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the Community Cemetery behind the church.
