Thomas Rondall Myers

Thomas Rondall “Ron” Myers, age 75 of Puryear, TN died Monday, August 17, 2020, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

He retired as Henry County Circuit Court Clerk after 36 years.  He formerly worked for the State of Tennessee in the division of property assessment for nine years.  Ron was a member of Puryear United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday school superintendent for many years.  He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar.  He was a man who loved his family, his friends, his hometown, and community at large.  Ron personified the hands and feet of Jesus in serving others and trying to help his fellow man.  He had a life well lived, a family well loved, and a God well pleased.

Ron was born October 3, 1944, in Murray, KY, to the late William Thomas “Tink” Myers and the late Hilda Christine Vandyke Myers.

He was married August 2, 1980, to Sandra Kay Ward Myers, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Kelley (Michael) Day of Mayfield, KY, and Jennifer Russell of Puryear, TN; one son, Patrick Veteto; three granddaughters, Katelyn (Tyler) Edwards of Martin, TN, Rachel Mallory of Puryear, TN, and Emily Veteto of Paris, TN; one grandson, Christopher Jordan of Mansfield, TN; and seven great grandchildren, Kaylee Joe Edwards, Carter Thomas Edwards, Tyler Jordan, Ryder Jordan, Maelee Mallory, Cooper Mallory, and Luca Veteto.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, August 22, 2020, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with David Allbritten officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Ward. Tommy Ward, Jerry Ward, Brian Sykes, Israel Myers, and Joe Thompson.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Tony Sykes, Alton Watson, Michael Day, Tyler Edwards, and Christopher Jordan.

Burial will be in Puryear City Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
