Tildon Dorris Lemonds age 80 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Cherrywood Post Acute in McKenzie, TN.
Tildon was born August 7, 1945, in Paris to the late George Livingston Lemonds and the late Sarah Dorothy Evans Lemonds.
He married Margaret Louise Wines Lemonds May 7, 1971, and she preceded him in death on January 2, 2026.
Tildon served many years in the asphalt department of the Henry County Highway Department before transitioning into self-employment as a lawn care professional. He was an ordained minister in the Community of Christ Church. Tildon was formerly a member of the Foundry Hill Community of Christ Church, where he served as groundskeeper for the church campground. He later moved his membership to the Paris Community of Christ Church. In his youth, he was a polio survivor and attended the Osage and Cottage Grove schools. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved to fish with his wife and family.
He is survived by Nathaniel Caddell who was raised in Margaret and Tildon’s home just like a son; a sister, Linda Nance; three sisters in law, Barbara Lee Lemonds, Georgia Lemonds, and Martha Lemonds; a brother in law, Billy England; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a plethora of cousins, especially in the Wynn and Evans families.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, and his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Madeline Collier, Theda Jane Brown, Sarah Lane, and Wanda England; and nine brothers, Milburn Lemonds, James B. Lemonds, Maurice Lemonds, Robert Lemonds, Darrel Lemonds, George Lee Lemonds, Freddie Ray Lemonds, and Johnny Leroy Lemonds.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Their bodies are be cremated with a service to honor Tildon’s, and Margaret’s lives at the Paris Community of Christ Church 1404 Lone Oak Rd., Paris, TN 38242, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. Memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church.
Tildon and Margaret's cremated remains will be buried at the Foundry Hill Community of Christ Cemetery.
