Warren Richardson

Joseph Warren Richardson, age 84 of Paris, TN, passed away Monday June 1, 2026, at his residence.

Warren began a lengthy career in autobody repair at AB Casey and McFadden Body Shop before going to work for his nephew at Richardson’s Body Shop. His love for cars was evident in many areas of his life. He enjoyed attending Nascar races, restoring old cars, was a founding member of the E-Z Rodders Car Club of West TN. Before his health declined, he enjoyed helping his son with his racecars and motorcycles and traveling and camping with his wife in South Texas. Warren took immense pride in his family and was Baptist in faith.

He was born in the Old 23rd district of Henry County, TN, on January 30, 1942, to the late William Lemuel “W.L.” Richardson and the late Jennie M. Medlock Richardson.

He married Virginia Kay Stoope Richardson Jan 27, 1963, and she survives of Paris.

Along with his wife of 63 years, he is also survived by two children, Jill (Josh) Rigsby of Watertown, TN and Andy (Pam) Richardson of Buchanan, TN; four grandchildren, Garrett Rigsby, Olivia Rigsby, Elizabeth (Matt) McCrory, and Marshall (Rachel) Petty; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his eight older siblings, Saline Arnold, Wilma Bomar, Jane Warren, Jean Wells, Kenneth Richardson, Harwell Richardson, V.B. Richardson, and Basil Richardson.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St. Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. His funeral service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Jon LeCroy, David Arnold, Jr., Kenny Arnold, Clint Stoope, Jamie James, and Craig Bomar. Earl Mealer, Jerry Carter, Ronnie Green, Keith Martin, Jimmy Tubbs, Joe Rainey, and Warren’s fellow members of the E-Z Rodders Car Club of West Tennessee will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.
