Billy Linn

William Hoyt “Billy” Linn, Jr. died on February 14, 2026.

He was born in Paris, TN, on June 27, 1958, to the late William Hoyt Linn, Sr. and to the late Mary Elizabeth Champion Linn.

Billy was a dedicated welder at Max Steel, where he worked in steel fabrication. His talent of welding took him across the United States working but he was glad to be settled back home in Paris closer to family. Outside of work, Billy had a love for adventure; he could often be found riding his beloved Harley Davidson or casting a line in his favorite fishing spot.

He is survived by his children, Corey (Nicole) Linn of Cleveland, TN, and Mary (Bradley) Nicholson of Madison, VA; three grandchildren, Katelynn Linn and Ayden Linn of Cleveland, TN, and Avery Nicholson of Madison, VA; two nieces, Jackie (Forrest) Kemp of Paris, and Crista (Terry Odom) White also of Paris, one nephew, Jeff Ball of Clarksville, TN.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Sue Ball and Trudy Louise Wofford.

The family celebrated his life at a private family graveside service with Steve Gallimore officiating.

Forrest Kemp, Terry Odom, Ayden Linn, Dre Kemp, Brayden Kemp, and Jeff Ball served as pallbearers.
