William Edward “Ed” Linsman, age 70 of Memphis, TN, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Ed was born June 17, 1954, in Detroit, MI, to the late John Linsman, and the late Ida Mae Hart Linsman Jones.
He was married to his first wife, Juanita Haynes Linsman, who preceded him in death. He was also married to Deborah Martin Linsman, who preceded him in death.
Ed owned Wells Station Auto Service in Memphis, TN. He was a U.S. Army veteran and later worked as a commercial fisherman. He was a devoted NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt and Jimmie Johnson. Known for his cooking, Ed loved frying catfish, turkeys, and made BBQ that rivaled the best.
He is survived by his two children, Gina Linsman (John) Laycock of Newport, KY, and William “Bill” (Kim) Linsman of Cincinnati, OH; one step-son, Jason Martin of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Linda Hosford of Paris, TN, and Tammy Vinson of South Carolina; three brothers, Johnny (Frances) Linsman of Paris, TN, Jimmy (Nancy) Harris of Memphis, TN, and William Linsman of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Mike (Brandy) Jameson of Memphis, TN.
In addition to his wives and his parents, Ed was preceded in death by one brother, Kenny D. Linsman.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Cremation will follow the service.
