William Randall Wagner

William Randall Wagner, age 68 of Puryear, TN, died Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He retired from Kroger in Murray, KY, as a meat cutter and a union steward.  He enjoyed small building projects and spending time with family.  Randall loved camping, NASCAR, and visiting historical sites, especially places with WWII history.  His favorite thing was being a “Paw Paw.” 

Randall was born October 5, 1954, in Joliet, IL, to the late Raymond Wagner and the late Norma Jean Holden Wagner.

He was married February 3, 1989, to Sherry Lynn Doyle Wagner, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by four children, Chad Wagner of Whitlock, TN, Chris (Malory) Wagner of East Prairie, MO, Samantha (Joe Elkins) Wagner of Puryear, TN, and Melissa Wagner of Chattanooga, TN; one sister, Bertha (Ron) Cummings of Paris; one brother, Sonny (Brenda) Wagner of Henry, TN; and six grandchildren, Josie Wagner, Sawyer Elkins, Jase Elkins, Reece Wagner, Isla Wagner, and Brock Wagner.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Wagner. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Monday, May 22, 2023, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
