Winston Ladelle Hawks, Jr.

Winston Ladelle Hawks, Jr., age 79 of Springville, TN, died Monday, July 17, 2023, at his residence.

He retired as a Union Electrician for Local 474 IBEW where he worked all over the country.  Winston was an avid sports fan and loved the University of Alabama and Southeastern Conference sports.  He enjoyed boating, hunting, cooking, and was a barbeque connoisseur.

Winston was born September 20, 1943, in Lawton, OK, to the late Winston Ladelle Hawks, Sr., and Bessie Louise Isbell Hawks, who survives, of Bartlett, TN.  

He was married October 11, 1985, to Debra Wossum Hawks, who survives, of Springville, TN.

Along with his wife and mother, he is also survived by one son, Robert Ladelle Hawks of FL; one daughter, Erin Elizabeth Hawks Pendleton of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Ronald P. Hawks of Bartlett, TN; and five grandchildren, Alex Hawks, Jonah Pendleton, Taylor Pendleton, River Pendleton, and Sam Pendleton.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert “Bobby” Hawks.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
