Betty Jane Jackson

Betty Jane Jackson, age 83 of Puryear, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

She had a long career as an LPN in Paris, working at Henry County Medical Center for 15 years and East Wood Clinic for 25 years.  Betty graduated from Grove High School and was a Christian by faith.  She was a strong, dedicated, and loving mother.  She was a fantastic cook, enjoyed preparing meals for her family, and was an avid reader on her iPad.

Betty was born September 22, 1937, in Paris, TN, to the late Boyce Brown and the late Lee Edna Ellis Brown.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise (Kenneth) Rawls of Paris, TN; one son, Randy Jackson of Memphis, TN; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Brown.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  A graveside service will be held Friday, September 25, 2020, at 3:00 pm at Dumplin Hill Cemetery in Henry, TN, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Gamlin, John Wade, William Wade, Gary Montgomery, Johnny Scott, and Kenneth Rawls.

Burial will follow the service in Dumplin Hill Cemetery.
