Bobby Elmo “Bob” McGlothlin, age 65 of Henry, TN, died Monday, August 31, 2020, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Bob was a cabinet maker for many years. He moved to Tennessee to help take care of his parents. After moving, he went to work for Kenlake Foods in Murray, KY, where he later retired from. Bob enjoyed working on his sister’s house, where he lived. He enjoyed reading Christian books, writing poetry, and sold Christian literature on Amazon. He was an active member of Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in McKenzie, TN.
Bob was born December 19, 1954, in Lecompte, LA, to the late Elmo McGlothlin and the late Emma Rae Corley McGlothlin.
He is survived by his three sisters, Joyce Dean McGlothlin of Pineville, LA, Emma Darlene Bishop of Henry, TN, and Susan Diane Kincaid of Henry, TN; two brothers, Randy Doyle (Marjorie) McGlothlin of Jeromesville, OH, and Don Ray (Betty) McGlothlin of Pineville, LA; 11 nieces and nephews; and 16 great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Wayne McGlothlin.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 10:30 am – 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dan Grisham officiating. A chapel side committal service will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 1:30 pm at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads Chapel, 593 Wildersville Road, in Wildersville, TN 38388.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow the service in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
