Charles Edward Parker, age 67 of Henry, TN, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at his residence.
He was a former law enforcement officer for the Paris Police Department for six years and then served as a as a security guard for the Alaska Pipeline for 10 years. After his time in law enforcement and security, Charles was the owner and operator of a construction company based in Henry for many years. Additionally, during that time, he served his community as a Henry City Alderman as well as a Henry County Commissioner. He also worked as a farmer and, later in life, worked at Tosh Farms in Henry before retiring.
Charles loved life. He took immense pride in his children and grandchildren, enjoyed fishing, and attended Sulphur Well Church of Christ in Springville.
Charles was born August 21, 1952, in Paris, TN, to the late Robert Clark Parker and the late Lela Elaine Benson Parker.
He is survived by three children, Brandon Parker of North Pole, AK, Carey Judy of Paris, TN, and Genny (Bobby) O’Dell of Dover, TN; two sisters, Carolyn Sego and Brenda Parker; one brother, Bobby Parker; one sister-in-law, Donna Parker; and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Bradley Parker.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
