Cheryl Buffington Hughes

Cheryl Jean Buffington Hughes age 67 of Paris died Monday, February 3, 2020, at AHC of Paris.

Cheryl was formerly a CNA at Henry County Medical Center and Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, working with and restoring stained glass, and genealogy. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Born May 12, 1952, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Eugene “Gene” Bernard Buffington and the late Ruth Mildred Canada Buffington.

Survivors include her sons, Jordan (Ashley) Hughes of Paris and Jeffrey Guy Hughes of Jones Mill; three grandchildren, Willow James Wright, Max Logan Hughes, and Marley Rose Hughes; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Paul Smith; and three brothers, Edward Buffington, Joe Buffington, and Daniel Buffington.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242 will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 10 am- 1pm with the funeral service to be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1 pm with Bro. Gerald Scott officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers for the service.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family requests memorials be made to Ridgeway Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
