Claudean Epps

Claudean Epps, age 85 of Puryear, TN, died Tuesday, October 20, 2020, in Puryear.

She retired after many years as an LPN from Henry County Medical Center in Paris.  Claudean enjoyed quilting, working in her flowers and yard, and riding roads to anywhere.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Claudean was born October 28, 1934, in Puryear, TN, to the late Tillman Windsor and the late Opal Bivens Windsor.

She was married December 16, 1983, to Walter Reed Epps, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2015.

She is survived by one daughter, Reta (Don) Cook of Springville, TN;  three sons, Tommy (Kathy) Cox of San Antonio, TX,  Jacky (Rose) Cox of Benton, KY,  Ken (Teresa) Cox of North Ogden, UT; one sister, Linda (Jerry) Jones of Murray, KY; one brother, Keith (Cathy) Manning of Lynn Grove, KY; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Tom Frommel of Puryear, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Joyce Cox; one sister, Lovis Manning; and three brothers, James Windsor, Charles Windsor, and Billy Windsor.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mike Wimberley officiating.  Per the family’s request, face masks are required for both visitation and the funeral service and social distancing will be observed.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
