Gordon W. Lancaster, age 84 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He was employed by Midland-Ross in Paris for 33 years. Gordon retired at the age of 55 to enjoy traveling with his wife, Linda. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and camping, and cherished time with his family. Gordon was a Christian who loved helping others. He now can rest in the arms of Christ.
Gordon was born January 7, 1937, in Dover, TN, to the late Virgil L. Lancaster and the late Melissa Howell Lancaster.
He was married August 15, 1957, to Linda Bailey Lancaster, who survives, of Paris.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his two children, Lisa Lancaster Myers (Carmen Odom) of Paris, and Kevin (Karen) Lancaster of Paris; four grandsons, Cain (Lauren) Myers of Franklin, TN, Zachary Lancaster of Paris, Peyton (Jamie) Lancaster of Silver Lake, KS, and Nicholas Lancaster of Cookeville, TN; two great grandsons, Jonah and Simon Myers; one step grandson, Jacob (Secret) Odom.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Anna “Clorice” Wimberly; and two brothers, Larue “Bitsie” Lancaster and Lynn Lancaster.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Friday, December 31, 2021, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Gerald Scott officiating.
All of Gordon’s grandsons and great grandsons will honor their “Papa” by serving as pallbearers.
Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
