John David Harrison

John David Harrison, age 85 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Henry County Healthcare Center.

He retired after working many years at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada as the Director of Human Resources. After retirement, John moved to Myrtle Beach S.C. where he met Joyce and they later relocated to the Paris area. John was a Christian and loved serving the Lord. He and Joyce served as counselors in several churches over the years.  He loved golf, fishing, cooking for his family and helping others however he could. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John was born on February 4th 1936, in Hamilton Ontario, CA.

He married on June 2, 1990, to his wife Joyce Glisson Harrison.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Virginia Alderson of Ontario, Canada; two sons, Michael Harrison of Ontario, Canada, and John Harrison of Ontario Canada; and one step-son, Robert Bowden of Henry, TN; one sister, Joan Robinson of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several grandchildren all of Canada.

John was preceded in death by one son, David Harrison.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Steve Gallimore officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.
